Overview
Block Zen: Puzzle Master ("the app", "we", "us") respects your privacy.
This policy explains what information the app handles and why. You do not
need to create an account or provide any personal information such as your
real name, email, or phone number to play.
Information we handle
- Anonymous identifier. When you first open the app, we
sign you in anonymously using Firebase Authentication. This creates a
random identifier so we can recognize your device on return and attach
your leaderboard score. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
- Display name (optional). If you choose to appear on
the global leaderboard, the display name you enter and your best score
are stored in our cloud database (Google Cloud Firestore) and shown
publicly on the leaderboard. Please do not enter personal information as
your display name.
- Usage analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to
understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, how often the
game is played, which screens are visited, and session length. This helps
us improve the game. Analytics data is associated with the anonymous
identifier described above, not with your identity.
- On-device data. Your current game, best score, chosen
display name, and settings are stored locally on your device (including
in secure device storage). This data stays on your device except for the
leaderboard information you choose to submit.
How we use information
We use this information only to run and improve the game: to save your
progress, operate the global leaderboard, and analyze aggregate usage
trends. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for
third-party advertising.
Third-party services
The app uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Analytics)
to provide the features above. Google processes this data as our service
provider. You can review Google's practices in the
Firebase Privacy and Security
documentation and the
Google Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect
personal information from children. Because sign-in is anonymous and no
personal details are required, the app does not request identifying
information from any user.
Your choices
- You can play without submitting anything to the leaderboard by not
setting a display name.
- You can change or remove your display name at any time in
Settings → Display name.
- To request deletion of your leaderboard entry, contact us at the email
below and we will remove it.
- Uninstalling the app removes the data stored locally on your device.
Data retention
Leaderboard entries are kept while the leaderboard is active or until you
ask us to delete yours. Local data is retained on your device until you
clear it or uninstall the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
